It has always been the norm and the order of the day for politicians in Ghana and even outside to only provide or undertake developmental projects when they are in power. Sometimes some of them they do not even bother to provide any projects at all in his or her constituency or area of jurisdiction.
The above narration and explanations have been the order of the day. But a particular politician and a former Member of Parliament, Samia Yaba Nkrumah has gone against all odds to undertake several projects even though she is no longer in power.
The daughter of the former, first and late President of the republic of Ghana Kwame Nkrumah seems to have started to follow in his late father's footsteps.
Barely a week the former member of Parliament of the Jomoro Constituency, Samia Yaba Nkrumah unveiled two separate developmental projects in two different towns in her constituency.
The three Classroom block in Tikobo 2
Samia Yaba Nkrumah on one day unveiled two different projects in Half Assini and Tikobo 2. She initially commissioned a three classroom block for 'Tikobo 2'.
The 16 unit public washroom
And later on that same the she also handed a 16 unit public washroom facility to the people of Half Assini in the Jomoro Constituency.
Samia Yaba Nkrumah is an icon and a heroine for what she has done. Most politicians that are currently out of power will never waste their time and money to provide developmental projects to their people.
If every politician is following her footsteps, then Ghana will definitely be a better place for everyone.
