The government of Ghana through their social media handle has announced that, they are going to have a Town Hall Meeting today on the E-levy. This meeting is scheduled to take place at Koforidua in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The main speaker for that occasion is the finance minister Ken Ofori Atta. Other people who are set to speak at the meeting include Honourable Ursula Owusu, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah and Alexander Afenyo Markins.
The huge debate in the floor of the parliament of Ghana is the E-levy. Many Ghanaians believe that, this E-levy is a draconian tax and should not be allowed to be passed. Could the meeting that they are going to hold today change the minds of Ghanaians to accept thw E-levy tax?
Let me know your take on the E-levy and also expressed you opinion on what you expect from the meeting the government is holding today concerning the E-levy.
