Mahama Ayariga made this disclosure on 'GH TODAY' on GHONE television when he was giving his candid opinion about the sentencing of Akuapem polo by the Accra Circuit court.
According to him, he has started thinking about encouraging his colleague lawyers in Parliament to form a working committee to work with the Attorney General to see if they can sieve through the existing penile legislation to see which ones they can move to community services so that Accra can benefit from extra hands in keeping it clean.
"I haven't seen a non-custodial sentencing bill that has come to Parliament. Perhaps it has come, and I didn't pay attention, but I've not seen one." - said
He added that there are so many offenses that in all fairness shouldn't have resulted in someone being locked up for five years and.
