After broadcasting the stalled $180 million Afari Military Hospital, Captain Smart has hinted of releasing a far more disturbing news about some wrong dealings in the Akufo Addo government. His claim is that the evidence in what he intends to release in October 2021 will shock Ghanaians.
Speaking on his political show on Smart Television, Captain Smart stressed that there is nothing that could shut him form exposing the rots in the government adding that, it would make great sense even if he loses his life in ensuring that Ghana works.
“I am going to drop a bomb in October and Ghana will shake. The Afari Military Hospital is the least of it,” he exclaimed.
Captain Smart has over the past week disclosed that some biomedical equipment worth some $38 million which are meant for the Afari Military Hospital, have been left to decay at the project site.
But his claims after the broadcast have been shot down by the Ministry of Health.
Clarification From Gov’t On The Project
Just when Captain Smart was making this allegation, Kwaku Annan of NET2 Television was having an exclusive conversation with former Deputy Minister for Health during the John Agyekum Kuffour administration, Hon. Abraham Dwuma Odoom on the project. He was the led on the project and several others that were secured under an Euroget facility in 2008.
Mr. Odoom disclosed that the project has not been abandoned adding that the reports filled by Captain Smart is questionable.
Deputy Minister of Defence, Kofi Amankwa-Manu has also confirmed that the report by Captain Smart is inaccurate. He clarified that the items which were captured outside the facility were not biomedical equipment but air conditioning and ventilation devices which were yet to be installed. From the evidence that were captured by a stream of media persons in Ghana, it was apparent the facts were altered in what Captain Smart reported.
