We need an unqualified apology from former president Mahama- Communications team member

The constituency youth organiser and a communication team member for the New Patriotic Party in the Tain District, Mr. Dauda Ibrahim Bamba, has expressed his displeasure on the statement made by the former president John Dramani Mahama, that the 2024 election will be 'do or die' affair.

In a discussion segment on Tain FM anɔpa Nkɔmmɔ, telling Appiah Kubi, he stated that what the former president said can bring chaos even from now till the 2024 election,and therefore needs an immediate and urgent redress to withdraw his commen

Mr. Bamba in his expressions memorised that in 2012, the president of the republic of Ghana, Nana Akuffo Addo said 'all die be die', which many Ghanaians lambasted him to withdraw the statement, which he (Bamba) expecting the former president to apologize to the natio

"This is a reckless statement and we need an immediate apology from the former president", he bemoaned

"We don't need such comments in the country anymore, we don't want to be like other countries which have as the results of harsh statements has caused conflicts and wars", he adde

The former President's comments have sparked criticisms from some quarters, but the criticisms have only met with rebuttals, defences and explanations from the ND

Hs said every human being is fallible but if the NDC refuses to apologise for the remarks made by the Mr. Mahama then he can only assume that he (Mahama) was deliberately inciting his supporters for battle ahead of what promises to be a peaceful election in 2024
