The current General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party Justin Frimpong Koduah has fired out a strong warning to all other executives and members of the party. He explained in a press release that their attention has been drawn to a viral video of Wontumi endorsing one of their Presidential candidate hopefuls.
According to Justin Frimpong Koduah, he Summoned Wontumi into a meeting over the video and advised him accordingly. He told him the need for him ( Wontumi) to desist from making any endorsement ahead of the official Presidential primaries opening.
Justin Frimpong Koduah further attached some documents of his predecessor John Boadu which clarifies the road map to internal elections and the sanction for people who flout it.
Clearly, Chairman of the Ashanti Regional New Patriotic Party NPP flouted this rule. However, that could be his last warning. If it's repeated, he is likely to be sanctioned by Justin Frimpong Koduah who is currently the Chief executive officer for the ruling New Patriotic Party.
It will be recalled that Wontumi flouted this endorsement rule and endorsed John Boadu against Justin Frimpong Koduah. That was prior the National election of the ruling New Patriotic Party NPP.
Unfortunately for him, the person he endorsed ( John Boadu) lost the election to Justin Frimpong Koduah. Now that Justin won the election, could it be a pay back time against Wontumi? Well, time will tell.
Many people have been asking if it's only Chairman Antwi Boasiako Wontumi's video which he saw. Citing Wontumi in a National press release is needless. Or Justin Frimpong Koduah wanted the public to know that he Summoned Chairman Antwi Boasiako (Wontumi)?
Meanwhile Justin Frimpong Koduah was hailed for bringing talkative like Wontumi to order. Read the official press release below as posted by Justin Frimpong Koduah on his official Facebook page.
