What Atta Mills really stood for?

The late Prof. Fiifi Atta Mills stood as the third president of the fourth republic of this great Nation Ghana.

He served as the vice to the late Jerry John Rawlings of the National Democratic Congress and later stood for the 2008 election for the presidency, carrying the flag for the same party. He was declared winner of the 2008 polls after a straight win against the New Patriotic Party's Nana Akuffo Addo who now serves as the fifth president of the republic of Ghana.

After He was sworn into power, Prof. Fiifi Atta Mills taught the Ghanaian people the need and preservation of peace within the country and the world as a whole.

He was a beacon of peace and he deligently expressed his course in the way he spoke, addressed and handled issues that turned out to have an effect on the nation's peace either positively or negatively.

He also was focused on the fight against corruption among top officials in Government agencies and industries.

The storming of the Tema ports was a moment Ghanaians who are really concerned about fighting corruption in the country would never forget. On that day, he taught us the Ghanaian people to be deligent in all our doings.

Atta Mills might be forgotten for everything but certainly not for his wonderful peace loving attitude.

He will forever be remembered.
