Outspoken Paramount Chief of Dormaa, Speaks On Fix The Country and On Twene Jonas's Statements

"Even the Asantehene said if you are a chief and give people land to illegally mine in return of goat then it's over to you," he said and added that " Ghana everyone is a thief, they don't speak the truth, including the Asantehene," Twene Jonas had said.

He continued that "he couldn't speak the truth but if watch, he has been listening to me now," hence, he has to speak the truth now because the fire I bringing to Ghana is not easy. "No amount of lies can defeat single truth," Jonas added.

The above statement was what Twene Jonas said, landing him in huge trouble. The controversial social media commentator who lives in the U.S and known for criticizing Ghanaian leaders, in this latest rant about Galamsey destroying water bodies, descended on chiefs in Ghana.

He has since apologized and moved on with his attacks. However, fast forward, the Paramount Chief of Dormaa, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang-Badu,, in a video sighted on Facebook link, shared here at Facebook, has expressed deep thoughts over the words of Twene Jonas and his opinion on the #FixTheCountry social media campaign and by far, his opinions were clearly tabled.

Concerning statements about Chief's showing leadership, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang-Badu surprisingly showed total support for this and even saw it as a direct and necessary call, for the chieftaincy institute to sit up.

According to him, he has ensured that, no one engages in the illegal galamsey in his towns and villages, but despite this strategic intervention, he cannot absolve himself of this call by the youth of Ghana, demanding a show of leadership from its Chiefs, as he is one of them.

Though he was emphatic that, he will never condone any act, which denigrates the Chieftaincy office through insults, he was also certain that, neither does he support any form of cursing of Twene Jonas, occasioned by his expressions of anger, over the menace of galamsey, as according to him, the challenges of poor leadership is obvious in many parts of the country and the chief's must lead real community change, that transforms its people.

He was also of the view that, the calls for #FixTheCountry is in the right direction, calling on the President and party people, to rather listen to them. According to him, it is rather good news to be receiving this critique now, than wait till elections time, when these same people will decide eventually.

The well renowned Paramount Chief of Dormaa, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang-Badu, who has not stayed out of controversy, may be the first leading chief and leader, to show support for these trending issues of late.
