This afternoon 25th May 2021, together with the Member of Parliament for Sissala East Constituency and Deputy Minister Designate for Water Resources and Sanitation, Hon. Amidu Chinnia together with the Upper West Regional Minister, Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih, they had a close door and fruitful meeting with the Minister for Roads and Highways, Hon. Kwesi Amoako Atta in his office. The outcome of this important meeting will be made public in due time. This meeting occured a day after a demonstration was held in Tumu over neglect in apportioning farm road contracts which eliminated Sissala East, West and Wa East.
Some Constituencies including Lambussie, Jirapa, Nadowli-Kaleo, Nandom, Wa, Lawra, Dafiama-Busie-Issa were allocated some kilometers whilst Sissala West, Sissala East and Wa East were not shortlisted in the 670km project allocated.
Residents of Sissala East have blame the recent development on former Roads Minister, Alhaji Amidu Sulemana, Current Paramount Chief of Jawia for Neglecting his constituency's roads as MP at that time(2012-2016).
The Upper West Regional Minister has assured that the issue will be addressed and called for calm.
