News reaching the office of Nanabagist shows that one of the members of the vetting committee has resigned with personal reasons.
The law maker for the North Tongu Constituency, Hon Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa on Tuesday,30th March, 2021 submitted his resignation letter to the Legislative Arm Of Government (Parliament) with the indication of quiting the vetting committee. He submitted his letter to the President of the house, Rt Hon Alban Bagbin and the leader of the Majority caucus, Hon Haruna Iddrisu
" Respectfully, do take note that my resignation is with immediate effect and therefore, I shall not be available for the vetting of nominees for Deputy ministerial positions" he stated this in his resignation letter.
Following this, the Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon Alban Bagbin has noted to have a talk with him over his resignation from the committee.
