Ghanaians react as former president John Mahama calls on EC once again for a reform.

According to my active internet presence, former President John Dramani Mahama has once again called for electoral reform and recommended the Ghanaian Electoral Commission to go to great lengths to establish an impartial body to review the 2020 elections that the electoral commission conducted. This, he claims, will improve the electoral commission's reputation in future elections. According to him, the 2020 elections are the worst organized in Ghana's democratic history in terms of elections.

Mr Mahama made this statement during a courtesy call on the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs and the Clergy in Koforidua during his "Thank You" tour, according to myactiveonline. He also asked Chiefs and Clergy to demand a review of the 2020 elections in order to implement reforms.

The former president of Ghana's statement elicited a wide range of responses from Ghanaians. Some of the remarks are listed below:

“When you don’t have good policies and programs for your country and you loose elections the results are accusing your opponent for rigging”

“You miss led those who died that you were being cheated. You should be charged for insighting the innocent you against public officials.”

“All the problems started from you. When the NPP proposed to review the appointment of the EC Chair, since you were also competing in 2016, you refused and went ahead and chose Charlotte Osei.”

“And worst ever election petition presented by an opposition leader in the world is what u presented”

”You always contradict your self you said one thing here then you go another place to say different things confuse and indecisive man”

“Very lazy leader, always blaming others about his failures.JDM have to tell Ghanaians exactly what he needed from Ghanaians because, from the history of Ghana there is no Ghanaian who has benefited from the tax payers money than JDM. From the Minister’s son who enjoyed free education to assembly man to MP to deputy minister to minister to Vice President to President and retired fully with presidential retirement package. So please let Ghanaian voters ask JDM what he has forgotten from the Jubilee house or JDM need from Ghanaian voters.
