The use of the Ghana card for elections in this country has been regarded as a means to rig the coming elections and cause the confusion that was seen during our last general elections. No one wants that for the country since it is already difficult to navigate your way through the already stressful and frustrating economic issues.
The national democratic congress have been against the use of the Ghana card but Asiedu Nketiah has a different approach for this. The Ghana card had millions of data from Ghanaians. This ranges from age, places of birth, names and many more on its bio data, giving room for almost every knowledge about necessary data to be derived from the history of these voters.
This will limit or eradicate double voting if it should be implemented by the electoral commission. The electoral commission claims this will be the final decision on documents needed for voting and nothing was going to be done about it even if tried by the Ndc obviously.
The Ndc’s general secretary, Asideu Nketiah has reacted to this and revealed that people are wrong for what they think about the Ndc’s opinion on the Ghana card. Whiles reacting to this and talking about a reason why the Ndc is against the strict implementation of the Ghana card only, he said: I agree to the use of Ghana card for voting. The Ndc is not against it. What we are against is the fact that it is the only required document for voting since about 4 million Ghanaians do not have their Ghana cards yet.
Mahama reacted to this with a message which includes a video of the interview on JoyNews where he described it as a brilliant delivery from Asiedu Nketiah as he represented the brains and wants of the Ndc concerning this election.
