Hopeson Adorye, a highly affiliated member of NPP has began campaign for Presidential hopeful, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen. According him the NPP Mathematics is clear that, it’s time alan kyerematen to lead.
Some residents of Asanteman on Saturday embarked on a health Walk to express gratitude and respect for the Trade and Industry Minister, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen. Hopeson made this assertion there.
According to him, NPP has got its tradition. He said that the tradition is Danquah, Busia and Dombo. The Danquah stands for the southern part of Ghana like Eastern and the rest. Busia stands for Ashanti region and Brong Ahafo area. Dongo is also in Northern Region.
"From 1992, Dombo always get a position. Whenever Busia gets the nod to lead the Party, the Danquah's rest and whenever Danquah's gets the mandate, the Busia's rest."
Either Busia or Danquah gets the nod, Dombo's always go with each. In 1992, Adu Boahen picked a Dombo but couldn't win. Kufour brought a Dombo in 2000 and we won. Kufour stands for Busia, and Adu Boahen stands for Danquah.
So Danquah came first and Busia followed. When the mandate was taken from J.A Kufour, Akufo-Addo took over. The mandate has now come back to Danquah. So if we follow suit then it is coming back to Busia.
If Alan Kyerematen wins power, he will take a Dombo as vice, so why do we want to change the tradition? Alan Kyerematen asked. He said that the tradition must go on.
