Kumawood actor, Kofi Adu who is popularly referred to as Agya Koo has replied naysayers that there is nothing they can do with him that will discredit the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP). According to him, the recent attempts by some media houses to tarnish his reputations with false publications has some political undertones that is meant to severe his relationship with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the NPP.
In a video message posted on his Facebook page, Agya Koo mocked that his detractors could do their worse, adding that it will have no effect on the NPP and what they are destined to accomplish in Ghana. He noted that NPP remains a formidable party in Ghana with reputation across the globe.
“You cannot disgrace the NPP. It won't work the party and Akufo Addo are blessed by God, and their works are recognized by the entire nation and across continents,. Ghana is being transformed,” said Agya Koo.
Reacting to a series of online publications that he had charged Ghanaians to sponsor their kids to travel oversees due to economic hardship and disappointment they shall encounter in adult life, Agya Koo said the authors of those content are only disillusioned. He indicated that there has not been any instant where he made such pronouncement adding that it is a totally fabricated story.
Agya Koo hinted that those media houses including Adom, and Atinka shall soon hear from his lawyers. He mentioned that there is no way he will go against the NPP and President Akufo Addo, when he and many Ghanaians bear witnesses to the massive transformation the country has witnessed over the past few years.
He noted that soon, Ghanaians in the diaspora would be rushing to return home and make a living in Ghana. In Agya Koo’s view the path chosen by the President to develop the country is reassuring, and that Ghanaians should support him.
“I am proud of being a member of the party, for they have never disappointed Ghanaians. President Akufo-Addo has done a great job and soon no Ghanaians would ever wish to travel abroad.”
