Ophelia Quansah to file nomination for Mfantseman seat tomorrow

It is all set now. Ophelia, first wife of the Ekow Quansah, is set to file her nomination for the Mfantseman parliamentary seat at the EC tomorrow.

This follows her official confirmation by the National Executive Council (NEC) on Sunday, 18th October 2020.

Ophelia inherited her deceased husband's political position -as MP -when the husband, Ekow Quansah, was murdered by assailants on Friday, October 9, 2020.

It has been decided that there will be no bye-elections in the Mfantseman constituency, with barely 50 days to elections. Ophelia thus goes straight into Parliament. No hassle.

But things have not been all that smooth and soothing. Ophelia's name and fame has been eclipsed by Sarah, Ekow's second wife, who was angered by the family's attempt to push her into the shadows.

The family's ferocious determination to project Ophelia as the only widow has apparently angered Sarah and her family, leading to the uncovering of certain unpalatable secrets that should have been kept under the carpet.

It is difficult to say for sure what happens next in this family drama of clashes between Ophelia and Sarah, widows of the late Ekow Quansah.
