George Opare Addo, the NDC National Youth Organizer tonight, Thursday, July 8, 2021 joined Paul Adom Otchere on ‘Good Evening Ghana’ to discuss issues affecting the biggest opposition, National Democratic Congress. The two looked at insecurity within the country and the NDC Protest March staged by the NDC days ago.
According to Opare Addo he was enthused by the first response by the Police that they could not ensure the security of the NDC Protest March. He noted that the response was laughable because the laws being quoted by the Police had expired. According to him he wasn’t surprised that they were later invited by the IGP for further talks on how to proceed on the march.
Paul Adom Otchere queried about if he will join the Fix the country campaigners on their match next month. He alerted him to the fact that the Fix the country conveners had declined assistance from the NDC. Opare Addo explained that whether they invite the NDC or not he is a Ghanaian and so can join them. He added that he would join because the issues that the Fix the country protesters want are the same things the NDC are asking for. He concluded that if he has life on that day, then he will be part of the August 4, 2021 Fix the country march.
It will be interesting to see what will happen that day. Will the Fix the country protestors get the needed numbers or will the NDC swell up their numbers and give them a massive boost?
