Hon Mavis Hawa Koomson Storm Atimpoku And Sends This Message To Ghanaians

The minister for fisheries and aquaculture development, Hon Mavis Hawa Koomson has stormed Atimpoku in the Eastern Region as she continues her familiarization tour to some parts of the region and sends some powerful message to Ghanaians who are bashing Nana Akufo-Addo led government.

She has stated that day 2 of her familiarization tour of the Eastern Region took her to the Asikuma West African Fish Farm and the Tropo Fish Farm at Npakadan.

She disclosed that her interaction with the managements of both facilities focused on how her ministry stands in readiness to assist them to contribute to the socio-economic development of this country by bridging the gap between fish demand and supply.

The minister stated that she finally attended a community durbar organized by the fish farmers Association in the Aquaculture sector at Atimpoku in the Asougyaman district of the Eastern Region where they discussed issues affecting the aquaculture sector, and the plans being put in place by government to address those identified issues.

Hon Mavis Hawa Koomson told Ghanaians that "H. E. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo vision is to transform and grow the aquaculture sub-sector to increase domestic fish production, reduce fish import and create job opportunities along the value chain by providing the conducive environment"

The minister made this statement known on her social media wall today, Saturday, 6th November, 2021 as she encouraged Ghanaians to wait patiently and see how president Nana Akufo-Addo will transform the country and help create jobs across the country.
