Ghanaians React Massively After Mahama Sent This Message To Akufo-Addo On ‘World Press Freedom Day’

The former President and flag bearer of the largest opposition party, NDC, John Mahama has recently caused massive stir, debates and arguments across all social media platforms after boldly sending another strong message to President Akufo-Addo over the media not been able to express themselves in Ghana.

In a recent post, the former President highlighted that, the incumbent President should allow freedom of expression and speech by the media as the world marks and celebrates “Press Freedom Day 2021”.

John Mahama’s recent post claimed that, the incumbent President, Nana Addo should enable the media, CSOs and other individual body to freely express themselves on national matters without being intimidated in their own country.

”I encourage President Nana Akufo-Addo to seize the occasion to create an atmosphere that is more tolerant of criticism and devoid of intimidation in order for the media , CSOs and individuals to freely express themselves and contribute to National discourse”, John Mahama emphatically stated.

Upon the former President’s post popped up online, most Ghanaians including media personnels and just to mention but a few took the privilege to express their massive concerns and opinions on the alarming issue.
