Adwoa Safo additionally obtained an LL.M from George Washington University in the United States of America.

After her Master's Degree, she worked for a while with the Office of the Attorney General for District of Columbia, Washington DC, United States before returning to her motherland.

She was at the same time doing her concurrent practice at the Legal Aid Board, Ghana, particularly as a Mediation Committee Member.

Prior to her active involvement in Ghanaian politics in 2012, when she was first elected as the Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya Constituency, she served as the First Legal Officer of PPA for two years, and was the brain behind the changing of Public Procurement Board (PPB) to Public Procurement Authority (PPA).

Adwoa Safo was subsequently appointed as the Deputy Majority Leader of Ghana's 7th Parliament.

In 2017, she was appointed by H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as a State Minisiter to take charge of Government Procurement activities.
