Can Akufo-Addo Tell The Asantehene To Complete The Abandoned Afari Hospital? – Captain Smart Queries

President Akufo-Addo has been causing controversy with his comments in the few past days. One of the interesting goofs was when the president mentioned that he never promised to build a harbor for the people of Cape Coast. Yet, in the NPP 2020 manifesto, that promise was clearly there. The president made amends yesterday in an interview on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo when he apologized for his choice of words.

However, immediately, he apologized he ended up committing another blunder when faced with a question on abandoned E. Block schools, he called on the Chief of Aflao to go and complete the project himself. This received so much reviews as many felt this was a disrespect to the chief of Aflao. On Onua Maakye today, Friday, October 22, 2021, Captain Smart boldly declared that the president goofed big time and needs to apologize.

According to Captain Smart, what President Akufo-Addo did is a disrespect to the government and an apology needs to be given. Captain Smart believed that there will be close door meetings in the coming days so the President apologizes for what happened. Captain explained that during the time of John Mahama, the Okyenhene gave an ultimatum to a project that had been left abandoned. Most importantly, Captain Smart questioned if the president can look into the eyes of the Asantehene and tell him to go and complete the 38 Military hospital in Afari.

Captain noted that every leader should have a big heart and be tolerate everything. He felt appalled that a whole president could give such a rebuttal to a question on live radio. The coming days will be interesting as the debate continues. Many have called on the Volta Regional House of Chiefs to issue a statement on the issue.
