Tonight, Monday, August 16, 2021, Hopeson Adorye, the deposed MP of Kpone Katamansu and Owusu Bempah joined Justice Kweku Annan on The Seat show. The two panelists are engaged in an agenda geared at fixing the country. The institution is seen as a counter agency to the fix the country movement. It can be recalled that today the Fix the country agency organized a press conference where they touted the achievements of the NPP.
According to the group, they are not opposed to the campaigners of fix the country, but then they feel those calls are politically fashioned. Tonight Owusu Bempah elaborated on the achievements of the NPP in education, health among other sectors. According to him the NPP have transformed the abysmal state the country was when they came into office.
Interestingly, Owusu Bempah mentioned that when it comes to education, Akufo-Addo has outperformed Kwame Nkrumah. He explained that not even Kwame Nkrumah was able to implement Free SHS, something President Akufo-Addo has easily done. He called on the critics of the President to open their eyes and give the president some credit.
This is an interesting comment because many feel the Free SHS has not come easily and is currently experiencing a lot of challenges. Political pundits have claimed that the NPP are bent on tarnishing the image of Kwame Nkrumah and rather promote the Danquah Busia tradition.
