Where Are The Promises? Osagyego Amoatia Ofori Panyin Speaks To Bawumiah

Bawumiah claims he has seen the importance of chieftaincy and the impact it has on the development of the country. One of the cultural practices and beliefs in this country is how the chiefs need to be cherished and how they are respected despite their age or years spent on the throne.

In Ghana, a president even though having the power to oversee the affairs of the nation still bows to the chief of his hometown or another region because of the training we have received throughout our lives. Bawumiah has made several promises to this country.

Together with his boss, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, they have succeeded at convincing Ghanaians about what their plans for the country are. Bawumiah led some chiefs and queens to celebrate the Ohum festival. During the celebration, the chief, Amoatia Ofori Panyin gave a speech through which he eulogized Bawumiah.

When you are coming into power? You make promises. And even two days into office you are asked that where are the promises? This is normal and is reminder that you keep your word just as you did when coming in for power- he said. He advised Bawumiah to continue the good work and continue to let his works speak for him.
