The member of parliament for Ningo Prampram Constituency, Hon Sam George has bemoaned the huge budget dropped by Akufo Addo to be debated on and will never sit for that kind of inconsiderate budget be passed.
According to Hon Sam George, the budget lacks empathy for the challenges the ordinary Ghanaian is faces. He argued that the budget shows a yawning disconnect between the managers of the economy and the reality of the economy.
"This past weekend was spent in Ho with my Colleagues as we had the post-budget workshop with facilitators and discussants to unpack the 2021 budget presented last Friday to Parliament.
The debates have started today and I hope to take my turn tomorrow as we dissect what is arguably Mr. Akufo-Addo's most austere budget. It is a budget lacking empathy for the challenges the ordinary Ghanaian faces. It shows a yawning disconnect between the managers of the economy and the realities of the economy.
The situation is dire. Hope cannot be a strategy but it looks like it is all we are left with. Our sad reality." He said.
