The minister has been reported by many media outlets to have told NPP delegates in the northern part of Ghana that his research shows that he is very popular. While addressing a press in Accra, the classmate and closest friend to the president said a bunch of plantain which used to cost GHC 40.00 had been reduced to GHC 4.00.

Taking to his Loudsilence TV yesterday, Kelvin Tailor said the motivation for agric minister to become president is President Akufo Addo. He said the two men were classmates and friends. He said Akufo Addo succeeded in becoming president of Ghana hence Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto thinks will too can be successful.

But in his opinion, the minister is not even qualified to be a minister in the first place. He said the the agric minister lacked the temporament of a minister yet Nana Addo insisted he must be his minister.

He advised Hon. Owusu Afriyie to save himself some money and energy by waking up from his dreams of becoming a president of Ghana in the future.
