The Alliance for Social Equity and Public Accountability-ASEPA has today petition CHRAJ against Seven Justices of the High Court for violating Article 286 by failing to declare their Assets and Liabilities with the Auditor General.
Per the constitution of Ghana, public office holders are supposed to declare all their assets before entering office. But contrary, some Honorable High Court Judges who are supposed to know better have allegedly ignored this and pretended nothing is at stake.
The Commission For Human Rights And Administrative Justice has hinted receipt of The petition from Alliance for Social Equity and Public Accountability in their quest to sanitise the well requested August House or force them to do what is expected of them.
Many have hailed the move as a brilliant one and has bemoaned why Judges who are learned enough could ignore that protocol.
