Another Bad News Hit Mahama And Tsatsu Tsikata At The Supreme Court - More Details

The Supreme Court today, has made another bold ruling following the petition filed by the Petitioner, Mahama over the outcome of the last presidential elections. The Court has unanimously dismissed the new application that was filed by the Mahama's legal team to be granted a leave to reopen their case.

It can be recalled, prior to the hearing today, Mahama's legal team had registered its disappointment over the ruling made by the court on their application to reopen their case. In an attempt to challenge the earlier, an application was filed for review of the Court's earlier decision.

The lead Counsel for the Petitioner, Lawyer Tsatsu Tsikata cited several precedent cases and made legal arguments to buttress their request before the Court. Interestingly, the motion was strongly opposed by the Laywers of both Respondents.

In the final ruling announced by Chief Justice Annin Yeboah on behalf of the 7 member panel, the court has unanimously dismissed the application on grounds that it is hollow and without any legal merit. This development will obviously come as a bad news for Mahama and his legal team who has deployed their best legal strategy to impress panel.

Chief Justice Annin Yeboah in declaring the ruling said that; "We dismiss the current application as being hollow without merits."

The case has been adjourned and the Supreme Court is set to declare the final ruling on the case.

Is it a game over for Mahama? What do you think about today's hearing?
