The Privileges Committee has for some time now been waiting to hear the case involving Kennedy Agyapong and a motion brought forward by the Multimedia Group. The Multimedia Group petitioned Parliament over claims that one of her own, Kennedy Agyapong threatened the life of one of their journalists. They called on Alban Bagbin to intervene on their behalf.
The Privileges Committee set a date to meet but this keeps on being postponed with many wondering what is happening. Today, Thursday, August 5, 2021, Alhassan Suhuyini was on TV3’s ‘New Day’ and explained that his session with the Privileges Committee keeps shifting because Kennedy Agyapong keeps running.
“He is a coward. He keeps running away from the committee. He was supposed to be in the country 2 days ago but he hasn’t come yet. I was scheduled to give witness at the committee today but I have received a call that he has travelled again. He is a coward and everyone can see that” Alhassan Suhuyini said.
Kennedy Agyapong is expected in the country in the coming days and a new date is to be fixed for his ‘trial’. After the findings of the Privileges Committee the findings will be presented to the Plenary and a decision taken. This is not the first time that Kennedy is going before the Privileges Committee. Many feel he will not escape so easily this time around.
