The past week was packed with a lot of activities in the country. Some of these happenings involved the stance of the president on the LGBTQ and also the arrival of the AstraZeneca vaccines to Ghana.
The AstraZeneca vaccines from the COVAX facility was given to free to countries that asked for the vaccines. The management of COVAX, decided to give each country twenty percentage of the population doses of the vaccine. Hence the arrival of the 600,000 doses.
The president of the Republic of Ghana in an address to the nation of COVID-19 protocols gave out an outline on how the vaccines were going to be shared.
He gave a list of the prioritized people. Yesterday President Nana Addo Akufo took the first dose of the vaccines which was televised for all to see. Today, the flagbearer of the NDC John Dramani Mahama took a dose of the vaccine along with his wife Lordina Mahama. After taking the vaccine he took to his social media to give reasons why he took the vaccine

The former president John Dramani Mahama stated that he took the COVID-19 vaccines firstly to encourage the the Ghanaians populace to also take the vaccine and also to assure them that the vaccines was not harmful.
