Tafo MP, Hopeson Adorye Summoned By NPP Over Endorsement Of Presidential Hopefuls

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has summoned two of its members for their alleged breach of the party’s code of conduct governing presidential and parliamentary primaries, which has raised alarm on the hopeful Presidential candidate.

The Member of Parliament for Tafo Pankrono, Vincent Ekow Attafuah, and Hopeson Adorye have been invited to appear before the National Complaints Committee of the party.

Vincent’s invitation follows his endorsement of one of the presidential hopefuls of the party during an interview on a radio station in Kumasi on August 3 , 2022, the Party said in a statement release.

Hopeson Adorye’s invitation, on the other hand, follows his open declaration of support for Alan Kyerematen as a presidential candidate of the party and ruling Northerners are fit for running mates on August 13, 2022.

The decision to summon them was reached during the party’s National Steering Committee’s meeting on August 15, 2022 hold.
