Outspoken Ghanaian based American investigative Journalist and self acclaimed anti-corruption campaigner, Kelvin Ekow Taylor has onge again come out with a bold statement. He has heavily criticised the Akuffo Addo-led government and accused them of putting the economy in shambles.
Kelvin Taylor has been one of the avid critic of the Akuffo-Addo administration since it assumed power in 2017. The brave and self acclaimed political activist has been tagged as a pro NDC Journalist due to his constant attacks on the NPP government. In what he described as a disappointment, he has angrily blasted President Akuffo Addo over the current state of affairs in the country.
Speaking on his televised With All Due Respect show last night, he indicated that he mobilising large number of Ghanaian youths who are ready for a change to launch the "Kume Preko" protest against the Akuffo-Addo government. He has said that, the level of corruption and nepotism can no longer be tolerated.
Recall, Kume Preko went down into the country's historical annals as tie biggest demonstration to have occurred in Ghana. This demonstration happened to protest against the high cost of living and the imposition of the Value Added Taxes. One of the leading members at the forefront was the current President Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo who teamed with other aggrieved Ghanaians to protest against the then Rawlings' administration.
Kelvin Taylor has signaled the launch of the second biggest demonstration against Akuffo-Addo himself. He said; "What is happening in Ghana is worrying. We the youths are ready to launch another Kume Preko demonstration. The government cannot be this wicked to impose these taxes on us in this critical moments."
What do you think about Kelvin Taylor's comments? Will another demonstration settle the case?
