Check Out The Brilliant Question From An NDC Communicator That Pius Hadzide Refused To Answer

Pius Hadzide, a former Deputy Minister of Information and Malik Basintale, the NDC Savannah Regional Communications Officer joined Johnnie Hughes today, Tuesday, October 19, 2021 on TV3’s New Day Newspaper Review Session. The trio looked at the NDC press conference yesterday. It can be recalled that yesterday the NDC organized a press conference where they lamented about the new fuel prices and the economic hardships that the Akufo-Addo government has bestowed on ordinary Ghanaians.

In addressing the issue, Malik Basintale explained that despite all the funds and revenue that government receives, they are unable to improve the lives of Ghanaians. He added that the President has turned himself into an Arabian king on a cross country with luxurious jets. He also queried what has happened to all the resources the NDC left and called for an immediate reduction on fuel prices.

Pius Hadzide in response said that the NDC have nothing to do but lament just because they want to also come to power. Interestingly, Pius while addressing the chartering of jets explained that the president flies in chartered jets because of need and not because he wills to do that. According to him, Ghana like other countries has to bear with the Covid-19 repercussions. He added that government has spent a lot to cover the loopholes the NDC left.

This view on the use of expensive private jets apparently angered Malik who posed a simple question. Malik was surprised that Pius chose to say that luxurious jets were used because of need and not will. Malik then queried Pius whether the chartering of a jet by Akufo-Addo to watch the Champions League in Madrid in 2019 was out of need and not will.

Pius responded that he was not bound to answer the question and explained that this was just a propaganda by the NDC to discredit the government. According to him John Mahama did worse with jet charters and yet no one was complaining. He challenged the NDC to their propaganda and praise the government for their good works.
