A cross section of the followers of the New Patriotic Party (Npp) in Kumasi have expressed grave concern about the alleged attitude in which Mr Benard Antwi Bosiako aka chairman Wontumi have been violating the constitutional laws that govern the party.
The supporters noted that the Ashanti Regional chairman of the Npp was recently cautioned by the National Executives to stop declaring his open support for any present or future contestants of the party per the party's constitution that disallows the conduct.
But according to the members of the Npp Asanteman Mpontuo, chaired by Mr Mark Obeng, chairman Wontumi has allegedly treated the caution from the National Executives with contempt.
The Ashanti Npp chairman is still actively promoting Dr Bawumia's political ambitions at Wontumi FM in Kumasi of which he Wontumi is the Chief Executive Officer.
Mark Obeng who also doubles as the polling station chairman of the Atwima Nwabiagya Constituency branch of the Npp alleged that many stalwarts in the party are aware about what is going on at the backyard of Wontumi no one cares to speak.
The polling station chairman asserted that when recently some lovers of Mr Allan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng privately and non politically organized their own health walk program the issue was misinterpreted by many politicians.
Obeng stressed that the National Executives of the Npp he said from their various statements are planning to sanction the members of the health walk organizers.
This is because the walk was political and targeted to promote the political ambitions of the Trade Minister.
The group said they are not comfortable about the alleged current development and manner the National Executive members of the Party are running the party in terms of how they have been applying the party's constitution laws to sanction party offenders.
Obeng who is also the chairman of the Kumasi PZ Petty Traders Association of Npp allegedly made it clear that no supporter of the Npp can say chairman Wontumi is innocent about his actions of using his radio station to promote Dr Bawumia's political ambitions in the country.
We need fair treatment in the Npp to help us to break the eight so the issue of transparency must be rigidly enforced without fear or favour, Obeng pointed out.
And by this publication we are giving the General Secretary Lawyer Justine Frimpong Koduah and his other National Executives one week ultimatum to sanction Chairman Wontumi for the second time.
Failure Mr Obeng said will compel his over
8000 members to demonstrate against the National Executives after which they would seek other alternative measures to advise themselves.
