It was reported earlier today that there were bloody skirmishes in the Suhum constituency yesterday during a clash between the footsoldiers of Alan kyeremanteng and that of Bawumia at a funeral ceremony of a very popular serial NPP caller, Opare.
But news just coming in confirms that the clash between the two factions were not the Alan-/Bawumia clash as we were made to believe in earlier reports, but between two factions in the upcoming New Patriotic party internal parliamentary primaries.
Frank Asiedu Bekoe (Protozoa)
Frank Asiedu Bekoe, popularly referred to as Protozoa is aspiring to become the NPP parliamentary candidate in the suhum constituency by unseating the incumbent member of parliament, Boafo Kwadwo Asante. And there has been a long standing misunderstanding between the two personalities and their supporters which degenerated into that bloody clash at the funeral grounds yesterday.
According to reports, a group of guys were accompanied by military men to attack the member of parliament of the area Honorable Kwadwp Asante Boafo, but unluckily for them, the party supporters were on guard ready for them which eventually led to the bloody clash.
One party supporter, Bernard Amoani has sustained a cutlass injury in the head and had been sent to the Suhum government hospital for medical attention.
