According to the woman, the president’s insatiable taste for luxury and comfort is not just wasteful, but disrespectful to the nation, especially at a time when there are cries over the economic hardship in the country.
In her 12 minutes video, this US-base Ghanaian woman asked; “is President Nana Addo better than the Tanzanian’s president? Is he better than the Tanzanian’s president? The Tanzanian’s president uses the economy class for his foreign trips, and not business class…but President Nana Addo prefer to travel on chatted private jet for his international travels”.
“Why would a president who is on a mission to seek financial aid; prefer to go on such an expensive and luxurious flight, she added.
According to her, the conduct of the President is highly reprehensible and nauseating especially at a time when the Presidential Jet (the Dassault Falcon 900-EXE) remains in an excellent flying condition; and can fly non-stop to all the European destinations.
The woman; whose name was not revealed in the video, poured out her anger on Ghanaians for allowing the president to use state money on such luxury.
Her attacks came following President Akufo-Addo’s recent travel in a luxurious jet, to the United States of America (USA), for the United Nations (UN) General Assembly.
Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Honorable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, in his latest statement, has vowed to push until government accounts for the expensive air travels of the President.
What is your take on the recent luxurious travels by President Nana Addo?
