The Former Country Director of Amnesty International who goes by the name Robert Akoto Amoafo has heavily thrown shades on people who are fighting persons who are gay and lesbian. He insists that nowhere in the Constitution of Ghana criminalize the act.
Exclusively on TV3 Saturday morning when he was sharing his views on the act, he noted that there's no way a gay or lesbian can cause harm to another person through their practices. To him, it's about time Ghana review and amend the Constitution to do away with the outmoded ones.
"The citizens must know and understand that unnatural canal knowledge only criminalize an activity of LGBT. If you look at the Constitution well, it talks about the unnatural canal knowledge and when you explain it further, it talks about the penetration of sexual organ but Ghana Criminal Offences Act Section 104(2) defines unnatural canal knowledge as a sexual intercourse with a person in an unnatural manner or with animal". He added.
Do you think the legislators will review the Constitution as the man is saying or they will pass a bill to fight it rather. Send a message to the law makers by typing on the comment box below and follow up for more news circulating in the country.
