Dr. Mrs. Jemima Nunoo (nee Agyare) is a lecturer at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). She is currently the Acting Director of the Centre for Management Development (CMD), the executive training and education wing of the GIMPA Business School. Dr Nunoo also teaches Leadership, Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility at the Business School and Politics, International Relations and Ethical Leadership at the School of Public Service and Governance. In addition she is also the Joint Co-ordinator for the John Evans Atta-Mills Centre for Law and Governance.
Dr Nunoo holds a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from the University of Birmingham, UK, an MA in International Studies and Diplomacy from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, a Research Track MA from the University of Nottingham, UK and a PhD from the same institution. The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) of the UK awarded Dr Nunoo a PhD and research track MA scholarship.
She helped establish the John A. Kufuor Foundation. Prior to this, she was a Research Fellow at the Institute for Democratic Governance. She headed the Poverty, Inequality and Sustainable Development Program. She has also taught Power and Leadership, Qualitative Research Methods and Approaches to Political Studies at the School of Politics and International Relations at the University of Nottingham, UK.
She is also a known NPP member, she campaigned vigorously for Nana Addo's victory and also penned down some beautiful words to the president on the 11th of Dec, 2020 that was published on myjoyonline (https://www.myjoyonline.com/jemima-nunoo-dear-president-nana-addo-dankwa-akufo-addo/)
who was appointed by the President H. E Nana Addo to serve on the Governing Board of Petroleum Commission Ghana two months earlier on the 9th of October, 2020. She also serves as a research fellow on the Danquah Institute, a political think-tank group that promotes the ideas of the Daquah Busia tradition, which has the immediate speaker of Parliament as its Governing Board Chair.
