This government is gradually leaving a legacy of being the only government that fails to give the due acknowledgement to individuals or past officials who started projects in the past which were completed under his (Nana Addo's administration). Today, a group who identified themselves as Concerned Residents of Aboadi has exposed Nana Addo for lying to Ghanaians that his government was the government that fully provided and completed the water project at Aboadi. They believed that Nana Addo had stolen their project.
In the release, they explained that the Chief of Aboadi, Nana Etsin Kofi II, engaged with a private company and lobbied for the project which was, the establishment of a very nice solar mechanized water project. The company in question is GOS LIMITED COMPANY (A SCHLUMBERGER JV COMPANY). According to the group, the Chief provided this company with a land for their activities.
This explanation from them contrasts what President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo posted on his Facebook page. Whiles outlining his achievements got the previous year, Nana Addo named this same project as his government's own.
It is for this reason why the group has called for an immediate apology and retraction.
Check out the reactions of Ghanaians.
