In an appearance on NEAT FM's morning show 'Ghana Montie,' he stated clearly, "My upbring does not in any way encourage this kind of behavior."

This comes after his party's deputy general secretary claimed that parliament's majority had been silent on the LGBTQ+ topics.

Nana Obiri Boahen is believed to have questioned the NPP's position in parliament on the sensitive topic.

Despite culture's rejection of LGBTQ+ activities, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu declared that "legally, we'll debate it in parliament."

Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Majority Leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu believes that his culture does not embrace LGBTQ+ activities.
