See The Number Of Parliamentary Seats The NDC Claims That They Have Recovered From The NPP

The 2020 presidential and Parliamentary election went down yesterday in the evening. What is left is for the electoral commission to collate the results from various polling stations.

Whiles the commission is busy with the collation of results, political parties are equally doing so through their party agents and they come out periodically to address their members through press conferences.

Director of the election of the NDC, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah addressed the press on Tuesday dawn. He mentioned several constituencies that he claimed his party has successfully recovered for the NPP.

According to him, the national Democratic Congress has won 36 Parliamentary Seats which were occupied by the NPP Members of Parliament.

"This means the seats were taken by NPP in 2016, and we have taken them back," he said.

"So far, if you look at the flips, if you put them together, we are looking at about 36 seats that have flipped," Mr. Afriyie Ankrah added.

In the Greater Accra Region, for instance, Mr. Ankrah said the NDC claimed that they won the Krowor, Ledzokuku, Tema East, Adentan, Ablekuma Central, Okaikoi North, and Madina parliamentary seats.

He also mentioned Upper Manya, Akwatia, and Ayensuano and a few other constituencies in the western region, Bono and Ahafo Region.

Mr Afriyie Ankrah also held to the firm belief that the NDC has been able to maintain a number of its parliamentary seats.

"No premature celebration," he said.

Do you think the NDC stands a chance of winning the overall election based on the address by their Director of elections?
