The Jomoro Municipal Assembly and Constituency has never been ruled by two female government officials. What this means is that, the District and Constituency as well has never been ruled together by a female Municipal Chief Executive and a female Member of Parliament but the results from yesterday's MCE election has made this possible for the first time.
During the 2020 general elections, the National Democratic Congress's parliamentary candidate, for the Jomoro Constituency, Dorcas Affo-Toffey unseated the previous MP honourable Paul Essien to be the second female to be the legislator for the Constituency.

And barely a year after the 2020 elections, the nominated Municipal Chief Executive Louisa Iris Arde was approved to be the new and first ever female Municipal Chief Executive in the Jomoro Municipal Assembly. Madam Louisa Iris Arde was approved yesterday, 15th of October, 2021 after she got 35 "yes" votes out of the 49 total votes cast.
Hon. Madam Louisa Iris Arde, MCE for Jomoro
Both of these two great women have gone against all odds to win their respective elections to be the leaders of their respective area of governance. And based exchange messages after yesterday's election it is very clear that these two women will collaborate to put Jomoro on the the global map.
