Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu has delivered a bold message to the Minister of Communication who doubles as the Member of Parliament for the Ablekuma West constituency, Honorable Ursula Ekuful Owusu in relation to her position as a Minister. Haruna Iddrisu lauded Ursula Owusu for her excellent job in facilitating the transformation process from the analog radio and television system to a digital one. He urged the Minister to come out clearly on the date when the transformation process will be completed.
Haruna Iddrisu blew a whistle on the SIM card registration. He added his voice to that of his his colleagues on the issue of multiple registration by the same individual. He believed that the multiple registration ongoing will undermine the main purpose for this registration exercise; dealing with anonymous crimes.
Haruna Iddrisu advised that the National Communication Authority must act as an independent body that regulates the registration. He urged the Communication Minister not to interfere with the work of the NCA.
