Ghanaians has backlashed the first lady and Second lady of Ghana when Parliament made decision to pay them monthly.
After Ghanaians showing their disagreement of the Parliament decision to pay the 1st and 2nd lady. Letter dated 12th July 2021 was issued from the office of the first lady, which states that the first lady, Rebecca Akuffo-Addo has rejected the spouses salary and is willing to return all paid allowances.
Today the second lady of the republic of Ghana, Samira Bawumia has also issued a letter from the office of the second lady, stating, all allowances received from 2017 is going to be refunded to Ghana.
"I am refunding all allowances I've received since 2017. But I will continue to be committed to the service of the nation; to deliver humanitarian interventions and initiatives in the area of health, education and economic empowernent. Samira Bawumia tells Ghanaians.
Ghanaians didn't do well criticizing their salaries because they are doing very incredible job for Ghana and deserves the pay.
