Odike Breaks Silence On His Banishment From Manhyia

Akwasi Addai, popularly known as Odike has reacted to the recent decision made by the Kumasi Traditional Council to ban him from Manhyia.

In an interview on Okay FM this morning, Odike made it clear that to the people who contributed to his banishment that what they have done contradict with the principles of democracy. He explained and revealed that whenever an offense is committed, the first thing to do is to give a hearing to both parties involved in such action. He added that Manhyia failed to give him a hearing on the issue but went ahead to give their judgement.

He believes that he said the truth because he is fighting for the good people of Ghana and the people of the Ashanti region. He however made it clear that maybe he used some words that may be offensive or against the traditional laws of Manhyia but he still needs them to give him a hearing so that he can explain things better to them.

"I have not been charged with any wrong doings. I have not been called to give explanation on my supposed offence. When the chiefs head the tape, they decided to banish me from Manhyia. What is the essence of the democracy we are practising in Ghana. If you have heard something and you don't understand or happy with it, the first thing to do is to at least give me a call for me to explain myself. They have banished me and have also called my hometown to banish me there too" he said
