The President is currently in the Bono East Region to continue his nationwide campaign tour. The President has been cutting sod for new projects and inspecting some ongoing ones initiated by his government.
At Atebubu, the President performed a ground breaking ceremony for the commencement of the construction of the Atebubu, Kwame Danso, kwadwokrom road.
Just before the President would perform the ceremony, traditional linguists from the palace called on the ancestors through libation to bless the President and give him the needed wisdom to rule the country.
He also called on the gods to assist the country go through a peaceful election in December.
“We asked for togetherness and good work. This election year, we do not want any blood spillage. We pray for descent campaign devoid of foul languages, we pray you bring peace and if everything goes well, we will give you all the thanks you deserve. We thank You”.
The Omanhene of Atebubu, Nana Owusu Akyiaw Obrempong II in a speech delivered on his behalf, welcomed the President and promised they will vote massively for him in December. He enumerated some challenges in the community.
“Now that you (Nana Akufo Addo) has become the ECOWAS chairman, you have already won the election. You don’t have to worry at all because victory awaits you in December. We have some requests, our population keeps growing and we have problems with water supply, so please, help us to get water. We also need a befitting hospital that will serve the health needs of all our residents. We also need double carnage roads here. You should help us Nana”. The chief noted.
The President in his response promised to do his best in ensuring their challenges are addressed.
