I Don’t Have Any Contract With Bawumia-Johnnie Hughes Responds To Critics

The politics people play in this country is so much below the par that the critical issues are left unattended almost all the time.

It appears as though one has no right to criticize or commend the government depending how an individual sees things.

One of the best ways to put a government on its toes is through constructive criticisms, asking the right questions and commending where necessary.

Host of TV3’s Newday, Johnnie Hughes has been under malicious criticisms lately for his continuous constructive criticisms on the government during the editorial section of the show dubbed, “Johnnie’s bite”. He has been tagged as a member of the opposition NDC because of his failure to criticize them as well.

Today, December 6, 2021, Johnnie Hughes took his time to justify his criticism of the government.

” Those of you who have been sending messages because of my criticisms of the government, I just laugh. I do not have any contract Dr Bawumia or any MCE. It was Nana Addo who was on the ballot and he is the one Ghanaians voted for. When I criticize the government some people say I am an NDC person but is the NDC not recognized by the electoral commission and the state? How can I be criticizing the opposition when it is the government that controls my taxes” he said.

Johnnie Hughes said he has always criticized government irrespective of the party in government and has been consistent with that since 2009 when he got into radio and TV.

He advised people to stop the attitude of tagging people who criticize the government and look at the substance of the criticisms.
