It is no doubt that, the former President, John Dramani Mahama was a gem, even before he became the President of Ghana. It is not up to 5 years but Ghanaians are beginning to miss him, say good things about him, especially taking responsibility for things he had no control over. Only a savior accept mistakes others.
Ex President John Dramani Mahama
During former President, John Dramani Mahama's tenure of office, numerous number of people criticised him for not being a good leader to this noble nation, Ghana. And that even led to his overthrown from power through the 2016 general elections.
One of the most talked issues during his tenure of office was the Power Outage of which Ghanaians referred to it as 'Dumsor'. The dumsor saga that went on during the National Democratic Party second term of office negatively impacted them and that might led to their defeat in 2016 election.
But little did every Ghanaian know that Presidents or head of states are not responsible for these issues.
Johnnie Beresford Hughes
Popular Ghanaian and TV3 media personality, Johnnie Beresford Hughes confirmed to the above statement on his Facebook platform by saying that President Akuffo Addo can't be blamed for lights out, in the past we blame former President John Dramani Mahama but now we know its ECG and GRIDCO's call.
The above Facebook post insinuate that the former President, John Dramani Mahama was not at fault but he was accused wrongly and that propaganda caused him his seat.
Also this same Journalist posted a different post even before he posted the above one. And in this post he revealed that the former president will even accept the 2021 Dumsor if he is blamed.
This tells us how important the former President was and the kind of things he can do even when he is not responsible for that.
