Let Us Be Realistic; Abu Jinapor Cannot Say That - Kwesi Pratt boldly speaks out

Vetting of Ministerial nominees is still ongoing and many Ministers-Designate have completed their vetting. Ghanaians have witnessed series of drama as many of the appointees were grilled by the Appointment Committee.

Yesterday, the Lands and Natural Resources Minister-designate, Samuel Abu Jinapor appeared before the Appointment Committee. He was questioned about the effort of the government towards Galamsey.

According to him, the fight against illegal tough will be tough but he is ready to ensure that is regulated. Interestingly, he mounted a strong defense for the fight against the illegal mining while expressing optimism in the fight.

Today, February 25, 2021 Renowned Journalist and Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Mr. Kwesi Pratt was interviewed on Good Morning Africa show. The outspoken Journalist has made a bold declaration concerning a comment made by Abu Jinapor during the vetting.

According to him, he is impressed by Abu Jinapor's confidence in the policy against illegal mining. He however asserted that, the MP could not deny a policy that has been initiated by his leader.

"Who is expecting Honourable Abu Jinapor to stand before the Appointment Committee and condemn a program which has been initiated by his President. Who is expecting that? Let us be realistic; Abu Jinapor cannot say that."

"I would have been shocked to the marrow if Abu Jinapor and said Galamsey has failed. It is not a realistic expectation from a Ministerial nominee like Abu Jinapor."
