According to Captain Smart, who is the host of the most listened morning show, “Angel Anopa Bofo”, the president of Ghana, Nana Akufu Addo knows the New Patriotic Party’s executives who are illegal mining (Galamsey) kingpins but he has kept quiet.
He went on to say that, the president has failed in his attempt to fight galamsey as he promised Ghanaians during his presidential election campaign. He also said that the president's hometown, Kyebi is now a galamsey headquarters with the help of the chief of the town, who gets a lot of money from the illegal mining.
He stressed the point that the president is not helping the country at all because of his statement, where he said that he will not arrest his appointees who are alleged to be part of galamsey based on hearsay. He asked the president whether the videos of Anas Aremeyaw Anas and other journalists are just hearsay?
And he is afraid to prosecute these big party fishes because they are the ones who sponsor the party's finances in terms of political campaigns.
Do you believe in the claims of Captain Smart that Nana Addo knows the real galamsey kingpins?
