President Akuffo Addo, in his 2021 Easter message states that churches services must last no longer than two hours, and social distancing rules must be strictly followed and every church that breaks this rule will be dealt with by the Police.

According to President Akuffo Addo, there will be no Easter conventions, picnics, parties, or beach gatherings. Church services must last no longer than two hours, and social distancing rules must be strictly followed. Nightclubs, cinemas, and pubs have all remained closed.

He added that spectators are still not permitted to enter stadiums to watch football games, the Police Service will enforce these restrictions strictly, and anyone caught breaking them will be prosecuted according to the law.

He explained that since then, we've all worked hard to ensure a significant reduction in the number of active cases, and the government, in collaboration with the security services, will ensure that these gains are safeguarded this time, therefore we should look out for each other until COVID-19 is eradicated and no longer poses a threat to our lives and livelihoods.
