Honorable Kwadwo Boateng Agyemang, who is the newly elected Constituency Chairman for the New Juaben North Constituency has reportedly resigned from office. Honorable Kwadwo Boateng Agyemang is one of the most popular icons in the Eastern Regional NPP. He has occupied many positions in and outside the party.
According to Starr FM and Ghone Television, Honorable Kwadwo Boateng Agyemang is the direct relative of Honorable Hackman Owusu Agyemang. Explaining circumstances surrounding the resignation, Honorable Kwadwo Boateng Agyemang explained that, he did that based on the NPP's Constitution.
Accordingto the Constitution, anybody who wishes to contest for any elected position aside the one he is occupying must first resign. Honorable Kwadwo Boateng added that, the resignation will allow him to contest for the Eastern Regional NPP Chairmanship position.
Per the same Constitution, the first vice chairman of the New Juaben North Constituency will step in and act as chairman until fresh by-election is held.
